Your Girl is Back! LaDeana Michelle Shakes up Valentine’s Day with HOT New Single, Pays Tribute to Whitney Houston

The lovely cocoa goddess with the songbird voice....is back.

Pop/R&B/Soul mega-talent and business mogul LaDeana Michelle will release an exclusive single tomorrow, on Valentine’s Day to pay tribute to the spirit of love and remembrance for late legend, Whitney Houston.

“Not Over U” is LaDeana Michelle’s first 2012 release as part of her annual “Love Quarter” campaign (January 1st-March 31st) set to run every first quarter for the next eight years. The campaign, which encompasses her notable slogan, “Changing Lives One Day at a Time”, promotes love, social awareness, unity and change through music and visual arts. Written, produced, arranged and composed by the multi-faceted artist, “Not Over U” has been praised by early listeners and critics as “deep” and reminiscent of the most memorable love songs of her legendary predecessor Prince, who, like LaDeana Michelle, writes, arranges and self-produces his releases.

LISTEN TO "NOT OVER U"

LaDeana Michelle, currently completing a book series, plans for a series of films and a new line of commercial jingles, wasn’t set to release anything at all until the first single from her forthcoming 2012 album surfaced.

That all changed when 48-year old Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room.

“I actually got the news before it hit most main media sources. I was crushed.” LaDeana Michelle admitted  today. “I grew up singing Whitney and attended her very first performance ever. She was unforgettable then. Whitney grew up knowing God, but fell and just couldn’t seem to…get up. I can only pray she made things right with Him before the end. Tomorrow’s release wasn’t in my original plans, but I am really hurting over this. Time constraints prevent me from producing what I really want to sing this moment, but right now, I feel like I need to give something. At least it’s a song about love. Love is what Whitney sang about.”

UPDATE: Despite time constraints, LaDeana Michelle will be throwing down some HOT new sounds for an upcoming film. More news on that to come.

LaDeana Michelle, a Vegetarian for over 10 years, currently a Vegan, donning natural, waist-length signature braids, who ensures smoking, drugs and alcohol (and the worst of foods) remain non-existent in her life, shares sentiments with singer Celine Dion, who stated today on “Good Morning America” how scared she is of drugs and of “hanging out”. LaDeana Michelle confessed that she just wasn't "built for foreign substances" in her body and has refused  to engage in any such activities at previous celeb functions or studio sessions.

Ironically, LaDeana Michelle is scheduled for an exclusive interview this week to discuss her “current feelings on the music industry and its practices”.
A photo tribute and statement posted on LaDeana Michelle’s official website today, strongly references Whitney Houston “in her prime” and pays tribute to the positive, overall image of “class” that initially made America fall in love with her.

It is this identical "sweetheart" theme that LaDeana Michelle has offered fans worldwide who have grasped the influential messages in her music.
Her peace-loving, humble spirit unmistakably shines through the emergence of her positive-natured songs, "Keep Your Faith" (the official “Barack Obama Inauguration song) and “Believe”, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and President Obama, which was featured in The Urban Music Scene online magazine, a rapidly-growing publication that hosts top R&B, Gospel and Jazz, with artists Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Brian McKnight, Eric Benet, Charlie Wilson and more in tow. Also notable, was her impressive “Rare” memorial tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson and video installment entitled, “SEVEN”, which featured seven of her self-produced songs and explored widespread issues such as love/relationships, racism, the homeless, genocide, starvation and more.

The only time LaDeana Michelle shed her garments was for her natural "Vegan" photo shoot last summer---of which, she was tastefully covered by a (you guessed it) sheet made of Vegan-friendly material. It's not her usual style, though. She'd rather take photographs with clothes ON. Sexy-classy.

She may publicly sing the pants off of a seriously sensual love song, but she'd prefer to leave something to the imagination and save the deepest seduction for the bedroom.  A well-known 6'8 athlete recently said it best:

“LaDeana Michelle is not your typical, predictable girl.  She is beautiful and no-nonsense, but humble. Gentle, soft and sweet, but with a real edge to her—like the popular babe-cheerleader-sweetheart hottie u loved to hang with in high school because she was the only one who spoke to you out of the group.  She’s outgoing and friendly, yet extremely private.  She dislikes following trends with a passion. Instead, she seeks to set the tone.  Mix all that with her incredible voice and you’ve got a winner."

LaDeana Michelle’s “NotOver U” is not a tribute song to Whitney Houston directly (not that it necessarily had to be on such unexpected notice) but its message of love is clearly reminiscent of the late legend’s warmth, emotion and spirit. Whitney Houston was about feeling a song...and embracing it. LaDeana Michelle carries that same weight in her own style.

Like previous releases from LaDeana Michelle, the single was yielded to promote love, social awareness, unity and change through music and visual arts. “NotOverU” can be previewed RIGHT NOW at ladeanamichelle.com and downloaded TOMORROW, Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2012, exclusively, through the same site. Online distributors such as iTunes, Amazon and other worldwide radio sources will premier the single later this month. So, yes....YOU can be there first.

Whatever the case, LaDeana Michelle is and will always be known to her worldwide fans as the beautiful, cocoa-colored goddess, blessed with a soulful, distinctive songbird voice and style all her own. True, she is grieving hard, with the rest of America over the passing of her beloved Whitney Houston.

However, LaDeana Michelle is deeply inspired by Whitney's memory to continue her own unique creation of positive, influential projects and fully carry on the legacy following a phenomenal class act who once called her "adorable".

As if she had a choice.

LaDeana Michelle.....Where Ya' At!

Didn't you know? "Where Ya' At" is merely one way we greet friends in New Orleans.

Ah….
LaDeana Michelle. Where Ya' At, baby!

She's that beautiful songwriter, producer and multi-octave vocalist who first gave us unforgettable visuals and distinctive vocal skills on “Keep Your Faith”, the official “2009 Barack Obama Inauguration Song” and followed that up with the emotionally-charged “Believe”, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King.

She took things a step further and dangled more of herself in mid-air with the release of the mini-movie (if you will) entitled, “SEVEN”, a compelling video embodying six of her most requested songs, and a bonus song that surprised many—while highlighting issues such as genocide, starvation, racism, hatred, and at the same time, the clear message of love. (“SEVEN” was fire, btw). She then went on to grace us with a steaming hot Valentine’s Day release, “Inside Love’s Window”, which featured her timeless, most requested romantic ballads “I Can’t” and “More Than Friends”. Each and every song/video released was a branch from her official 2009 “Love Quarter” campaign--a campaign which promotes love, social awareness, unity and change through music and visual arts from January 1st through March 31st, set to run every first quarter for the next nine years.

And then there was….silence. Or so it appeared.

Wait---did we forget?
Everything we’ve heard to this moment has been merely previews to one of the hottest talents to come. It’s what happens when a multi-faceted producer like her, or like similar predecessors Prince, R. Kelly, Ne-Yo, etc. has tons of songs in their arsenal, or writes and records endless songs per week, as she does. Many didn’t realize LaDeana Michelle was never officially released to the world yet. Her camp was merely responding to “leaks” of her music, events and the way she feels about world issues (i.e. our historic new President). Apparently, many of the websites associated with her name were merely sites put up by fans—none of them truly official at all. Additionally, her trademark slogan “Changing lives one day at a time” became highly infectious. Still is. The moment people heard her voice, they wanted more….craved more and are still waiting, watching, wondering—where is that “more”? More that will help change lives one day at a time? Where is she? Why the silence? Additionally, why has LaDeana Michelle stopped being publicly “spotted” around both the Los Angeles and Bay Areas? More significantly, she hasn’t TWITTERED in a while. Why not?

Glad you asked.

Her camp reports she has been in the middle of one of the largest multi-million dollar business deals of her life (after all, she is a businesswoman, like her peers Oprah Winfrey, Kimora Lee Simmons and others). She has traded skating nights (she is an avid “soul”/trained skater) and social gatherings (not really a heavy clubber, anyway) for live sporting events, hiking, swimming, intensive workouts/training and strict focus on all that is to come. Negotiations dominate her time outside of working on her highly-anticipated full-length album, a book series (yes, she’s also an author) a fashion/fragrance line and several upcoming films. She was last seen holed up in one of her favorite cities (ahem…Tiburon) where she was doing what many authors do…stealing peace to write and create. She is still contemplating an international tour and is still set to launch foundation-based social programs dedicated to cultivate low-income youth and starving children worldwide.

Oh.......and she’s got HOT summer music pounding away on her website, www.ladeanamichelle.com, of which is probably not from her forthcoming album either, but is hot just the same. Unmistakably gorgeous, LaDeana Michelle glows with her usual sweet spark and sports dark, sexy curls to compliment that smooth, brown skin we love. This site, www.ladeanamichelle.com HAS to be official, right? Guess we’ll know the truth sooner or later. Right now, we love what we are hearing.

We are currently awaiting word on the exact release date of LaDeana Michelle’s first 2009 album single. Her camp seems to be confident that the breakout worldwide track will be released at “a time least expected, but in a way much accepted”. The album is slated to be SIZZLING and will return a component to music that has seemingly gone into hibernation.

LaDeana Michelle is not silent at all. Word is…she is expected to Tweet on Twitter any day now, if she hasn’t already. Join up and follow her now, if you dare. Bottom line? Be prepared. Like an active volcano, she’s brewing and unpredictable. We may not know exactly when she will spout, but we know it is inevitable that she will. From everything we have heard---preview to preview---of her phenomenal voice, style and influential messages within her music and lyrics, whenever LaDeana Michelle rears her lovely head above water for good, there won’t be a soul alive who will be able to resist her.

LaDeana Michelle's "Inside Love's Window” Garners Five-Star Rave Reviews

LaDeana Michelle’s “Inside Love’s Window” debuted early Friday, to give reviewers an opportunity to rate the release. Fortunately, for the Oakland-born beauty, all reviews were consistent at five stars (out of five), praising her for a spectacular voice and outstanding skills as a songwriter, producer and arranger.

I have included two of my favorite reviews here:

Review#1

Review#2

I have to add five stars to the pile, as well. “Inside Love’s Window”, released on Valentine’s Day, could not have been more appropriate. “I Can’t” and “More Than Friends” definitely satisfies those who have the desire for love and/or romance—which is probably the general public masses. Who DOESN’T want love? However, if there is someone of that rare breed, who can care less about love, they will still enjoy LaDeana Michelle’s penetrating, distinctive voice, which commands attention—no matter which way the pendulum of their appetite for love swings.

Right on time, “Inside Love’s Window” is currently available for exclusive download on LaDeanaMichelle.com, CDBaby.com, iTunes and a host of other online retailers.

The talented prodigy is reportedly still finishing up her debut album, while nailing down a slew of business deals. She is also in negotiations for her international debut tour, a biopic feature film of major music legends (unnamed at this time) and several other films of her own. LaDeana Michelle is officially set to launch a major toy drive for sick and orphaned children, Christmas, 2009.

In the meantime, you will want to download “Inside Love’s Window.” It will ultimately be one of the wisest musical decisions you’ve made.

LaDeana Michelle’s “Believe” reportedly received the most hits ever recorded by the magazine in its history. Also notable, is her latest video installment entitled, “SEVEN”, which features seven of her self-produced songs, exposes more of her as an artist and explores widespread issues such as love/relationships, racism, the homeless, genocide, starvation and more.
