Your Girl is Back! LaDeana Michelle Shakes up Valentine’s Day with HOT New Single, Pays Tribute to Whitney Houston

The lovely cocoa goddess with the songbird voice....is back.

Pop/R&B/Soul mega-talent and business mogul LaDeana Michelle will release an exclusive single tomorrow, on Valentine’s Day to pay tribute to the spirit of love and remembrance for late legend, Whitney Houston.

“Not Over U” is LaDeana Michelle’s first 2012 release as part of her annual “Love Quarter” campaign (January 1st-March 31st) set to run every first quarter for the next eight years. The campaign, which encompasses her notable slogan, “Changing Lives One Day at a Time”, promotes love, social awareness, unity and change through music and visual arts. Written, produced, arranged and composed by the multi-faceted artist, “Not Over U” has been praised by early listeners and critics as “deep” and reminiscent of the most memorable love songs of her legendary predecessor Prince, who, like LaDeana Michelle, writes, arranges and self-produces his releases.

LISTEN TO "NOT OVER U"

LaDeana Michelle, currently completing a book series, plans for a series of films and a new line of commercial jingles, wasn’t set to release anything at all until the first single from her forthcoming 2012 album surfaced.

That all changed when 48-year old Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room.

“I actually got the news before it hit most main media sources. I was crushed.” LaDeana Michelle admitted  today. “I grew up singing Whitney and attended her very first performance ever. She was unforgettable then. Whitney grew up knowing God, but fell and just couldn’t seem to…get up. I can only pray she made things right with Him before the end. Tomorrow’s release wasn’t in my original plans, but I am really hurting over this. Time constraints prevent me from producing what I really want to sing this moment, but right now, I feel like I need to give something. At least it’s a song about love. Love is what Whitney sang about.”

UPDATE: Despite time constraints, LaDeana Michelle will be throwing down some HOT new sounds for an upcoming film. More news on that to come.

LaDeana Michelle, a Vegetarian for over 10 years, currently a Vegan, donning natural, waist-length signature braids, who ensures smoking, drugs and alcohol (and the worst of foods) remain non-existent in her life, shares sentiments with singer Celine Dion, who stated today on “Good Morning America” how scared she is of drugs and of “hanging out”. LaDeana Michelle confessed that she just wasn't "built for foreign substances" in her body and has refused  to engage in any such activities at previous celeb functions or studio sessions.

Ironically, LaDeana Michelle is scheduled for an exclusive interview this week to discuss her “current feelings on the music industry and its practices”.
A photo tribute and statement posted on LaDeana Michelle’s official website today, strongly references Whitney Houston “in her prime” and pays tribute to the positive, overall image of “class” that initially made America fall in love with her.

It is this identical "sweetheart" theme that LaDeana Michelle has offered fans worldwide who have grasped the influential messages in her music.
Her peace-loving, humble spirit unmistakably shines through the emergence of her positive-natured songs, "Keep Your Faith" (the official “Barack Obama Inauguration song) and “Believe”, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and President Obama, which was featured in The Urban Music Scene online magazine, a rapidly-growing publication that hosts top R&B, Gospel and Jazz, with artists Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Brian McKnight, Eric Benet, Charlie Wilson and more in tow. Also notable, was her impressive “Rare” memorial tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson and video installment entitled, “SEVEN”, which featured seven of her self-produced songs and explored widespread issues such as love/relationships, racism, the homeless, genocide, starvation and more.

The only time LaDeana Michelle shed her garments was for her natural "Vegan" photo shoot last summer---of which, she was tastefully covered by a (you guessed it) sheet made of Vegan-friendly material. It's not her usual style, though. She'd rather take photographs with clothes ON. Sexy-classy.

She may publicly sing the pants off of a seriously sensual love song, but she'd prefer to leave something to the imagination and save the deepest seduction for the bedroom.  A well-known 6'8 athlete recently said it best:

“LaDeana Michelle is not your typical, predictable girl.  She is beautiful and no-nonsense, but humble. Gentle, soft and sweet, but with a real edge to her—like the popular babe-cheerleader-sweetheart hottie u loved to hang with in high school because she was the only one who spoke to you out of the group.  She’s outgoing and friendly, yet extremely private.  She dislikes following trends with a passion. Instead, she seeks to set the tone.  Mix all that with her incredible voice and you’ve got a winner."

LaDeana Michelle’s “NotOver U” is not a tribute song to Whitney Houston directly (not that it necessarily had to be on such unexpected notice) but its message of love is clearly reminiscent of the late legend’s warmth, emotion and spirit. Whitney Houston was about feeling a song...and embracing it. LaDeana Michelle carries that same weight in her own style.

Like previous releases from LaDeana Michelle, the single was yielded to promote love, social awareness, unity and change through music and visual arts. “NotOverU” can be previewed RIGHT NOW at ladeanamichelle.com and downloaded TOMORROW, Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2012, exclusively, through the same site. Online distributors such as iTunes, Amazon and other worldwide radio sources will premier the single later this month. So, yes....YOU can be there first.

Whatever the case, LaDeana Michelle is and will always be known to her worldwide fans as the beautiful, cocoa-colored goddess, blessed with a soulful, distinctive songbird voice and style all her own. True, she is grieving hard, with the rest of America over the passing of her beloved Whitney Houston.

However, LaDeana Michelle is deeply inspired by Whitney's memory to continue her own unique creation of positive, influential projects and fully carry on the legacy following a phenomenal class act who once called her "adorable".

As if she had a choice.

LADEANA MICHELLE: New Vegan, New Dance Single, New Mag Cover, New Life

It is official

The multi-talented reppin’-for-the-brown-babes LaDeana Michelle has indeed gone public with her transition from vegetarianism to veganism after shedding 21 pounds in 10 days on The Master Cleanse (Stanley Burroughs, 1976) this year.  So, basically, there’s no more cheese, eggs, or buttermilk pancakes.

Oh, the horror!

How on earth will she do it?

That is a huge step for a soul-food lover.  However, I believe that Vegan soul-food exists.  I wouldn't want any of it but who's asking?

Back to the diva at hand.

No idea why everybody is calling The Master Cleanse or “Lemonade Diet” the “Beyonce Diet”. WTH? Okay, yes. Beyonce lost 20 pounds in 10 days doing the cleanse, but honey, LaDeana Michelle had already been doing the cleanse for over seven years before Dreamgirls, and eons before the thought of such movie idea even manifested through the brilliant mind of Director Bill Condon.  In fact, it was The Master Cleanse that LaDeana Michelle credits for originally catapulting her into vegetarianism over a decade ago.  Whoomp! There it is.

It is Stanley Burroughs’ diet since 1976 and it works.  We’re not talking about all these variations of it. We are talking about his version cut and dry, to the penny. That is the regimen LaDeana Michelle follows. Her camp reports that she’s never felt better after becoming a full Vegan and has not gained the weight back from this year’s Master Cleanse that launched her new lifestyle.  Marinate on that one.

Then Miss Natalie Portman announced she gave up veganism because of her cravings for eggs and dairy during pregnancy. As she very well should have. Let us do what we need to do for the unborn babies and then do us, later. So…does this make LaDeana Michelle the new poster girl for the strict Vegan lifestyle? Yessss.

Oh, and it’s not just this Vegan thang, honey. Miss girl graces the cover of SayWhatNews online entertainment magazine this month, with an exclusive candid interview.
She is also releasing a fiery hot new party joint (from her forthcoming debut album – album title to be announced soon) entitled, “Like It’s Your Birthday” impacting on www.ladeanamichelle.com tomorrow, June 29th, 2011 and CD Baby, iTunes and worldwide, thereafter.

Preview the track HERE.

Don’t get me wrong. I like her other music, but she is so much more than a balladeer, or a slow-groove girl – or whatever title that floats one’s boat. This new track will have you up out of that chair on the dance floor, getting the sheet music for your band gigs and finding karaoke versions for your own parties.  LaDeana Michelle’s “Like It’s Your Birthday” has that similar “feel-good” quality of the legendary Patrice Rushen’s “Haven’t You Heard”.

This one’s gonna move ya’. Guaranteed.

Not to mention the track’s HOT cover that features LaDeana Michelle ironically in nothing but her birthday suit, tastefully covered by royal blue material (Vegan material, I’m guessing?).
I guess when Vegans go natural, they are not kidding around.  However, the whole thing is relatively innocent, tasteful and actually, quite fun.  In fact, the photo is from Miss Thing’s recent “Vegan Shoot” – where she went all-natural – baring that beautiful, brown glowing skin underneath wisps of colored, Vegan sheets.
Waist-length, natural braids have temporarily replaced her long, curly ringlets, but provide her with an “island-exotic” look. I have to say it. The chick is FIERCE. All-natural. The “birthday suit” photo is also featured as a promo on www.ladeanamichelle.com.

You can also go from there to preview and download the dance track.

She will launch her official MySpace site, along with an all-new fan site (www.ladeanamichelle.net) main site (www.ladeanamichelle.com) and a slew of additional, mainstream social sites. She is also completing a new book, in talks for film production, preparing to partner with various Vegan organizations, is set to open a unique, boutique store (with future shoe, clothing, handbag, doll and cosmetic lines) and launch real-estate development projects and foundation-based social programs dedicated to help the homeless, the abused, underprivileged youth and starving children worldwide.

LaDeana Michelle is beautiful, talented, different and unpredictable and marches to the beat of her own symphony (a drum would not be enough for her).

It’s why we love her. She is what she is.

Rumor is, her highly-anticipated debut album drops later on this year - October, 2011. Until then, please join us in welcoming the newest, sexiest VEGAN female producer, songwriter, songbird vocalist, arranger, actress and more to the next-level road to greatness.

It’s all the way up from here.

First off, ELM would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the people of Haiti.  Words cannot express the degree of loss suffered. We would like to encourage everyone to do everything they can to help, i.e. donate money, clothing, toiletries, etc.  It is reported that LaDeana Michelle is working hard to get donations over to Haiti and on a situation to provide larger aid through the American Red Cross.  An informational site on how to help Haiti, posted by Twitter investor, Chris Sacca, can be found here:

Also, we’d like to send out condolences to the family and friends of soul legend, Teddy Pendergrass, whose hit songs from the 70’s, “Love T.K.O.”, “Turn Off the Lights” and “Close the Door” will forever live on in music world. Pendergrass passed away Wednesday. He was 59.

R&B/Pop/Soul Singer & Producer LaDeana Michelle's New Joint "Long Night" is BLAZING Hot!

LaDeana Michelle, singer, songwriter, producer, musician, arranger, actress and more, has once again given us something we can feel. However, this time, she’s ditched the legendary tributes (though we’ve immensely enjoyed them) and given us a bird’s eye view of the phenomenal music we can expect from her forthcoming debut album in 2010. No offense—I like Obama, Dr. Martin Luther King and Michael Jackson like the next man, but I wanted more of LaDeana Michellein the flesh. I know she ain’t out yet, but give a brutha somethin’ to work with—feel me? I saw some of her in “SEVEN”, but I got caught up in the world issues surrounding the video and couldn’t concentrate on all that beauty like I wanted to. However, this time, she has given us more of her.

Yeah, baby. The beautiful cocoa goddess has this time given us “Long Night”.

Written, produced, arranged, composed and performed by LaDeana Michelle, “Long Night” is an extremely sensuous love song with strong, universal appeal. It was played over 100 times repeatedly during a recent focus study that was only supposed to spin it once. Undoubtedly addictive, the song offers a head-nodding, soul-stirring groove that awakens emotions in the same manner that skilled balladeers like Luther Vandross used to do. You know many of us were created by candlelight and Luther songs. That’s right. Now here we go again. The moment “Long Night” begins, it draws you in like a prescription drug—and you can’t stop listening until the song has ended. Once over, “Long Night” is in your blood….it’s in your head and you wanna immediately play it again and again. Sensuality oozes from LaDeana Michelle's outstanding, songbird vocals and feeds through your speakers like a dose of the most expensive champagne money can buy. You want to grab that special one, light the candles and forget about the outside world and its problems.

This is exactly the point of LaDeana Michelle's, “Bringing Love Back” her hot, new release that embodies “Long Night”. The sultry video features steamy images and suggestive meanings that get the blood boiling, yet clearly conveys the class, style and significance fans everywhere have come to know LaDeana Michelle for. It don’t even matter that she ain’t pounding mainstream yet---people know what’s comin’. They feel her right now. She is circulating through the underground circuit like woah. The “Long Night” video reminds all who watch it of one element that seems to be a distant afterthought in music and in the world: Love. If you’ve forgotten what it means to love and be loved, don’t worry.

LaDeana Michelle will clearly remind you with “Long Night”.

The remaining songs on “Bringing Love Back” are just as hot. Her voice is candy sweet and oozes sensual overtones. All this is only the beginning of what is to come from the gorgeous, extremely talented young lady, whose debut album is predicted by worldwide critics to be one of the best to arrive in 2010. Beautiful, talented and intelligent, with an award-winning personality to match, LaDeana Michelle is a top-notch hottie/dream girl people LOVE with one of the most beautiful, timeless voices set to break barriers in 2010. Be prepared.

****Download “Long Night”, along with the rest of “Bringing Love Back” either at the Official Online Store at http://www.ladeanamichelle.com, or on iTunes, CDBaby or any other major online retailer. Wherever you find it, roll with it. You just need to have it.

What you waitin’ for? Get your love on. You need a resolution.
